I'm going to be a first grade teacher! And that quote is one I've always loved that I really hope is what goes on in my classroom.

As many of you know I've been graduated from some time now but I've been putting off getting a full time teaching position because of various uncertainties in our life at the time. Now that some of those uncertainties have played out we decided it was time for me to go ahead and start teaching. I've been applying for anything that comes up here in Driggs and was recently hired at Driggs Elementary as a first grade teacher! It is a K-3 school just around the corner from us that got the ok to hire a couple teachers because class sizes were just getting too big! School starts for me August 26th, and for the kids September 2nd. I've been working away getting things ready but it is a little crazy trying to figure it all out! And its all just happening so fast! We're going to the lake with my family in a couple of days and I start right after we get home so its just nuts! Anyways, I don't have much else to say but figured my first big job was something to blog about haha Not to mention this will definitely explain what happened if I drop off the face of the earth hahaha I won't have time for much of anything but work for the next 10 months and I won't be able to write much about it anyways because of privacy laws and stuff. So sorry if this poor little blog gets neglected even more than it does now but I will do my best to keep you posted on what I can! Just don't hold your breath :p
